Maintenance of Mac Servers Tonight

Beginning at approximately 10 PM Tuesday 10/9 we will be taking several CHFA Macintosh servers down for maintenance.

First we will be the NetInfo Server down to perform maintenance of the NetInfo Database on Apollo. This database recently begin experiencing problems only allowing long login names to work.

After rebuilding the NetInfo Database, we will upgrade Apollo to Mac OS X Server 10.1

Time permitting, we will then upgrade Morphous to OS X Server 10.1

It is hoped that the OS X server Update 10.1 will reduce the problems we have been experiencing with frequent dropped connections. Rebuilding the NetInfo database will likely require a manual rebuild of group information, this will take some time. Watch here for updates on our progress.
