Sunday's Changes Aid in Lab Stability

The changes made Sunday morning went smoothly, and the system was back up before 11:00 AM. We have in effect limited the amount of resources that a single lab computer takes, especially at boot. While this helps reduce traffic and resources used, it does make the machines slightly slower (about 15 seconds added to startup). This should give us enough "breathing room" to attempt more optimization on Monday, April 2.

These measures are helping, and we hope to add additional capacity over the over the summer, and as funding allows. CHFA|TECH thanks you for your patience as we attempt to grow to meet the demand, and provide you with new and better services.
