Core Router Maintenance Continues

Ken Connelly Systems and Operations Manager, ITS - Network Services sent the following on 11/28/2000:

Cabletron engineers will be on campus this week to perform some debugging work on the latest version of firmware for our core SSR. This latest version contains the fix for the problems that plagued us for the first half of the semester, but has other problems that only appear if a very few cases (lucky us, huh?).

At any rate, we will be performing this work during the early morning hours on Thursday, November 30. At this time, I am not sure what time we will begin, but we will return to our current stable setup no later than 7:00am. It is possible that testing will continue on Friday morning, but that won't be known until after the initial effort on Thursday. As always, your patience and cooperation is appreciated.
