MEMFIS sign-in Web Page changes (again!)

CHFA|TECH was just notified (10:15) that this morning the link to the MEMFIS accounting system was changed back to it's Pre-December 17th address. We were given no warning about this, and had no idea that the December link was temporary.

If you use the shortcut in Internet Explorer to get to the MEMFIS sign-in screen - you will go to the no longer functioning web page: http://eddy.memfis.uni.edu:8000/OA_HTML/US/ICXINDEX.htm

The next time you log into a Windows 2000 Machine, you will get the correct address link
http://memfis.uni.edu:8000/OA_HTML/US/ICXINDEX.htm

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this caused. The alternative (which we consider even more inconvenient - on a daily basis) is to log into My Universe then link to the MEMFIS login (both of which require separate login names and passwords).

The temporary fix that was put in place on Dec 27th to use
eddy.memfis.uni.edu to get to the MEMFIS applications has been removed.
All access to the applications should again be to memfis.uni.edu.

The My Universe portal has been changed to reflect that and new
notification e-mails to users will show the change tomorrow morning.

If a you logon through eddy.memfis.uni.edu in Netscape you will be fine.
In Internet Explorer, it will blow up with javascript errors and you will
not be able to connect to your responsibilities.

This is just another reminder NOT use use boomarks when accessing the
MEMFIS applications. We intend the alias memfis.uni.edu to stay in place
indefinitely (it was only removed as an emergency fix as recommended by
Oracle on Dec 27th until they could resolve the problem).

The MEMFIS help desk has also been informed of these issues.
