Security Flaw found in Netscape version 6.x

Netscape announced last week a flaw in their web browser that allows malicious Web sites to look at cookies on your computer. Cookies not only store web pages you have visited, but often record account numbers, names, and other private user information.

This flaw only affects version 6.0 through 6.2.0 - Version 6.2.1 was released to fix this flaw.

CHFA|TECH doesn't support or recommend use of any version of Netscape. As a rule of thumb we have not installed Version 6.x of Netscape on any computers. While not supported, many people in CHFA are accustom to and continue to run version 4.xx of Netscape (4.79 is current revision of 'old' Netscape). These versions are not affected by this security flaw.
