Macintosh OS X Server Updates

The updates were completed by 11:00 am on Sunday. Everything went as expected and is up and running smoothly again.

Macintosh OS X Server upgrades scheduled for Sunday, February 24th

On Sunday morning, February 24th, the two Macintosh OS X Servers (Apollo and Morpheus) will be going down for OS upgrades. These upgrades include the following upgrades:

* Improved reliability and performance of the following services under heavy load:
* Apple file services
* Apache web
* Security fixes for FTP and the BSD Line Printer Daemon
* Improved server administration of the following services:
* SMB
* printer sharing
* WINS registration
* Improved System Clock accuracy

The maintenance on these servers will affect all CHFA Macintosh computer labs and classrooms with A/V equipment. Down time is expected to be less than 1 hour.
