MSN Messenger 5/ AIM 5.1 on Windows machines
MSN Messenger 5 is now available on CHFA Windows 2000/XP computers.
At the same time, I found that AOL released 5.1 of their Instant Messenger Client yesterday. I have also set version 4.8 that currently exists on the network, to be replaced by the new version 5.1 that I have packaged and tested.
Please contact me if you have any problems or questions.

MSN Messenger 5 on Windows machines
Microsoft updated their popular instant messaging program - MSN Messenger - and released it last week.
Because of the way the program is packaged, anyone can install this program to any lab machine. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS.
As time allows over the next few days, this version will be installed on lab machines, and users that have MSN Messenger 4.6 in their Windows 2000/XP personal prefernces will have the updated version automatically issued to them.
If people take it upon themselves to install Microsoft's update manually we will end up with multiple and conflicting versions of the software.
MSN Version 4.6 has been pulled from the "generic" lab login accounts (LNG027, LNG213, CAC116, Public, etc.). They will get version 5 of MSN as soon as it is available.
Thank you for your patience.
