Newer Version - KeyServer client on Windows

After various problems with Sassafras' installer that we deployed on January 12, we recreated the Windows KeyClient installer software largely from scratch so that users are not prompted to login to the KeyServer at all.

If you are unable to launch any applications from Windows computers and receive "no Key Access software found" or similar errors, please restart your Windows machine (start -> shut down -> restart). Upon restart (if connected to campus network) you will see a message "Installing managed software - Sassafras K2 Client (1-16-04)" If this doesn't fix your problem - please call us immediately.

We will restart labs over the weekend to force this updated installer to as many computers as possible during evening hours.

New Version - KeyServer client on Windows

As many have called to question the "KeyAcces Setup" Window on Windows computers - this is due to a new version of KeyServer client being required. The first time any user logs into a Windows machine in CHFA, this setup window is displayed. If your window looks like the image below - you can simply close the window by clicking the X in the upper right corner. If you don't have keyserver.chfa.uni.edu set in the connection window - simply type that in and click on Logon to make the connection.
