How to- request CHFA user accounts for an entire class
If you are teaching a class in the College, and would like all your students to have individual logins to the Macintosh and Windows computers in CHFA computer labs:
1. Send an email to ken.connelly@uni.edu requesting a CSV (Comma Separated) file of student information for your class. Please include your class and section number in this request.
2. Forward the .csv file to chfaTECH@uni.edu
3. Each Friday afternoon – we will process class lists of all electronic requests received by noon on Friday.
4. We will send a confirmation email to the requesting faculty member once the accounts are created. Please share the information with the students in your class(es).
Student logins usernames are the same as their UNI email name (the part preceding “@uni.edu”). Their initial password is their student ID number. They should change their password as soon as possible. Instructions for changing passwords are available at our web site under
Frequently Asked Questions.
Students that forget their password, or become locked out (from entering an incorrect password multiple times in rapid succession), will need to visit our main office in Communication Arts Center 106 with photo ID. We will not reset accounts over the phone or by email for security reasons.
