Netscape
For those still using Netscape, please contact us so we may update your email client.

The following note is ONLY for those few users who may use their short username as their email address rather than the (long) firstname.lastname alias. Using Bugs Bunny as an example:
The username would be bunny, but the email address alias would be Bugs.Bunny@uni.edu. Email can be received at either bunny@uni.edu (sometimes called the “short email address”) or the (long) email address alias. Nearly all users are set up to use the long email address alias. If you are one of the few setup to receive email at your “short email address”, please read on.

Changing the email address associated with this account is only necessary if you do not user the firstname.lastname@uni.edu alias as your email address. If you use the username that was being changed above as your email address, you will need to change the Email Address: (or similarly named) field to reflect the new username. This field is always found in the same location as the user name except in Thunderbird and Outlook. In Thunderbird, it is found at the top of the “tree” of the appropriate account. In Outlook, it is found on the General tab. HOWEVER, the firstname.lastname alias will still work and remain unchanged.
