CHFA Server Updates completed
All Windows servers in CHFA were updated with Windows 2003 Service Pack 1 between 10:05pm and 11:10pm
At 3AM and 4AM tomorrow (April 13, 2005) morning - Windows machines in CHFA will automatically install todays security updates. On restart, Windows XP computers will also receive updates for Office 2003, Front Page 2003, and a new software package: Microsoft Office Proofing Tools - which provides spell checking, thesaurus and some grammar checking for 49 languages.
If the computer you use was turned off tonight - you will have to wait as these updates install when you boot up. Additionally the security updates will install ASAP and will only give you a 5 minute warning before they reboot the computer. We cannot prevent this from rebooting during the day. Again - if you leave your machine on at night as we request - the machine will be fully patched and ready to use when you come into work.
