Memphis Upgrade December 11th

Beginning Monday December 11th, Windows computers will have to be restarted once before Memphis applications will work properly.

Memphis administrators are conducting an upgrade of Memphis this weekend (Dec. 9 and 10). This update requires a new version of Jinitiator to be installed on WINDOWS MACHINES ONLY. Windows machines will need to be restarted to install the new Jinitiator starting Monday, Dec. 11th. Due to the looming finals week, we felt it inappropriate to force this restart on all of our users.

To restart a Windows machine, save any open documents, click “Start,” then “Shut Down,” select “Restart” from the drop down menu and click “OK.”

The first time the new Jinitiator is used, users will have to click on “Grant Always.”
