The Aegis of the Dissident began long before any of us met. The guild was formed after my love Vasette and I found each other once again on pure coincidence.

Vasette, Yverthad and I are of the church of our home island which encourages helping all around us and respecting others regardless of standing. Granted there are points we must accept that we can not help or are more of a burden than true assistance but there is no reason to not help if we can.

We formed this guild to bring our religion and beliefs back to this world as that the rest of our kind are probably scattered if not slaughtered by the horde that came through the Maelstrom and rampaged our home.

Shield of the Heretic is our translated name as that the church of the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor view our kind as mislead due to our different teachings. A warlock can be just as good as a paladin, and for many of our kind we have found the paladins of this world just as foul as the "warlocks" many despise.
